A life shaped in Kopargaon, near the sacred Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan — and dedicated to the quiet, patient work of institution-building, cow protection, education and civil society across Maharashtra.

The essential facts behind three decades of public work.
Shri Shekhar Mundada began his life journey in Kopargaon, a small village near the revered Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan. After completing his education, he assumed the responsibility of his family and laid the foundation of a modest business in Pune. Despite the challenges, he prioritized social work and community service, dedicating most of his time and energy to it.
Inspired by his association with spiritual leader Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, he gained deeper involvement in both spiritual and social causes. Through organizations like the Art of Living, Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal, and the Maha NGO Federation, and with the mentorship of Hon. Devendraji Fadnavis, he has remained an active participant in BJP's social initiatives.
In recognition of his impactful contributions to social welfare over 25 years, the Central Government appointed him as Director of NRDC, Delhi in 2022. In July 2023, the Government of Maharashtra honoured him with the post of President of Maharashtra GoSeva Ayog, acknowledging his dedication to cow protection and service. For his sustained 27-year contribution, he was also elected President of the Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal.
